Indo Arab League welcomes Fatah-Hamas reconciliation deal: Syed Vicaruddin
Hyderabad, Oct 29: The Indo Arab League Hyderabad has welcomed the reconciliation deal signed in Cairo between Palestinian rival groups Fatah and Hamas.
In a statement on Sunday, the Indo Arab League Chairman Syed Vicaruddin congratulated the Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas, the Palestinian factions and the Palestinian people for reaching the agreement that would end a decade of a political rift between the two mainstream Palestinian factions.
Syed Asad Amiruddin addressed the gathering on behalf of Syed Vicaruddin as the chairman was suffering from throat infection.

Following the path shown by our great National Leaders, the Indo-Arab League Hyderabad ever since its formation in 1967 has always been in the forefront in supporting the Palestine cause, and to extend solidarity with Palestine`s suppressed populace, Amiruddin readout.
We have gathered here to express our solidarity with Palestinian Government and the people of Palestine, who are facing great hardships, day-in and day-out, due to the unabated aggression of the Zionist forces, intrusion and illegal occupation of their Mother-Land, through its ill-designed strategy of planting more and more illegal settlements in the internationally disputed and illegally occupied territories in Jerusalem, which is a great matter of concern for all the peace-loving countries, he added.
As the Indo-Arab League is now in its 50th year of inception, we have planned to celebrate the Golden Jubilee on a grand scale, sometime next year, and I am pleased to inform that, President of Palestine Mahmoud Abbas, has agreed to attend the proposed celebrations, Amiruddin said.
The League also offered to provide space for the ‘Palestinian Consulate’ in the ‘Indo-Arab Cultural Centre at Road no. 10, Banjara Hills, Hyderabad.
Vicaruddin decided to send a 10-Member delegation of prominent journalists, followed by a delegation of renowned leaders from various political parties, to Palestine, in the near future for know the hardship faced by the Palestinians.
